gprojects’ South Park Hive is 14 homes located in the heart of Seattle’s historic South Park neighborhood. Burnished concrete and cork floors set a warm yet contemporary tone. Double height spaces harken a loft concept and bathe the living area in natural light, yet each bedroom is private. A birch grove creates distance between the homes while framing a central courtyard, plus the homes have private rooftop space. Edible ground cover was utilized to encourage neighborly interaction, and being walking distance to the library, restaurants and drinkeries of South Park encourages community engagement. Parking is kept at the alley. Completed in 2021.
