Interlake

Skinny deep sites are challenging, and this slice off Interlake Ave N was no exception and even included lots of topography. After much study, we created two triplexes, each with three homes that step up the site. On tiny footprints, these homes live large. We created a triple-height space, around which the stairs wrap, which floods the interiors with natural light. Each home takes access off a common walkway and has a private space at grade and on the rooftop. We opted for a simple, clean exterior. Situated on the edge of the Stone Way micro neighborhood of climbing gyms, restaurants, Sea Wolf Bakers, coffee shops and the HQ of Brooks Shoes. Completed in 2020.
