Harold's Place

Corner of W Barrett and 5th Ave W | Seattle, WA 98119

Thoughtfully nestled into the northeast corner of Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood, these 11 homes are a stately oasis in a neighborhood with diverse housing styles and types. We provided a mix of detached homes and row-houses, all with at grade garden space and unified by a central community walkway - a place to greet neighbors, get your steps in, and tend your garden. Many of the roof tops have private outdoor space and fantastic views.  A unifying feature for this project was the landscaping, some edible, as the homes now stand where Harold's derelict greenhouses and tangles of kiwi fruit vines harkened to a more rural past for the property.  Our interiors were designed with floor to ceiling windows, custom pocket doors, and double height spaces, which flood the homes with natural light. The cabinetry is all custom, the windows are triple pane and we achieved higher than code required soundproofing and insulation. All homes share an underground parking garage, limiting the curb cuts and creating a more pleasing urban environment. Completed in 2019.
