Graham Black is the owner of gprojects LLC. gprojects is committed to developing and building high quality, contemporary, infill homes in Seattle, which has been its mission since 2003.

Graham’s passions and interests have led to a series of projects that blend community-oriented site planning, contemporary architecture, and green building.  The results are generally dense projects that are pedestrian focused and feature a variety of green materials and building practices.  The architecture is clean, simple, and harmonious. gprojects’ has built, and continues to build, 4 and 5 star (LEED Gold equivalent), independently certified projects Seattle’s close-in neighborhoods. 

gprojects has twice won the AIA Seattle’s Future Shack award and also twice won the Master Builder’s Built Green “Green Hammer” award. gprojects has had its work published in a variety of local press.

In a prior life, Graham worked as a land use and municipal lawyer. He is a graduate of Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota and Seattle University School of Law (cum laude).  

Outside of building and developing, Graham enjoys cooking and eating, or doing just about anything outdoors, including working his vegetable garden and fruit trees, playing and coaching soccer, playing pickleball, mountain and road biking, hiking, sailing, helping with his kids’ various teams and endeavors, and sharing a glass of wine with his wife Jen. Graham is a port commissioner for the Port of Friday Harbor, an elected office he has held for the past 3 and a half years.
